His counsel and expertise have helped hundreds of families realize their goals of giving back and create a lasting legacy.

Jay is intentional about positively Impacting a number of different communities.  From meeting his family’s sponsored child in Nicaragua through Compassion Canada, to being a Kinsmen member and working behind the scenes on their Telemiracle committee, he has experienced firsthand the impact on families that have benefited from our province’s generosity. Jay has also served as the past chair of the Lakeview Church Board and the Free Methodist Foundation of Canada Board as well as the past co-chair of the KHL – an inner city hockey program targeting children that would not normally have the opportunity to play the sport.

Jay has been married to his high school sweetheart, Sheri, for over 20 years, and they have two daughters, Lexie and Sydney, as well as their family dog, a Golden Labrador named Ginger. Jay gives back to his family by coaching and supporting his daughter’s sports teams and sharing his odd dad humor.  He encourages social awareness and community support in his family by donating to local and global charities together.  Jay and his family love to explore by going on long canoe adventures in Northern Saskatchewan, being sure to stop at Barker Island, a favorite spot they visit each year. The Chicago Blackhawks are his favorite hockey team; however, he prefers to play sports, rather than watch them, with hockey, softball and zip lining being his favorite activities.
